(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has issued the decision for approving the implementation plan of ASEAN convention on counter-terrorism. The plan defines the tasks and responsibility and assigns duties to specific bodies in accordance with Vietnam’s constitutions, laws, and practical conditions. The plan’s target is that Vietnam, as an ASEAN member, will fully exercise its obligations in counter-terrorism, contributing to completing the legal base, improving the efficiency, and strengthening international cooperation in the combat against terrorism. Key activities include communication campaigns on the convention and laws, legislation review, international cooperation, and building mechanism for agents from central to local level to work more closely in counter-terrorism.

The decision took effects yesterday.
