Indian Prime Minister Modi begins official visit to France

(VOVWORLD) - On Thursday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for a 2-day official visit to France where he will attend as the guest of honor, the celebration of Bastille Day or the French National Day in Paris, announced the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. 

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the strategic partnership between India and France, Modi said in his departure statement.

India and France will improve cooperation in various areas including space, civilian nuclear power, green economy, trade, investment, and culture. The visit to France is expected to provide new impetus to the two countries’ strategic partnership.

From Paris, Modi will be travelling for 2 days to Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, for an official visit on July 15.
