International Cultural Week opens at Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens

(VOVWORLD) -“International Cultural Week – Welcoming the New Year 2026” opened Tuesday at the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens, featuring 80 booths showcasing cuisine, culture, and the arts.

Nguyen Thanh Nhut, Deputy Director of the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens, said, "The International Cultural Week creates a cultural space in Ho Chi Minh City that brings together traditional and contemporary cultures from countries around the world. It allows visitors to the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens to experience firsthand these cultures, which preserve traditional cultural values while embracing modern influences."

"This encourages people to appreciate and cherish cultural values and gives the city a new tourism product for visitors to enjoy in the opening days of 2026," he added.

The program includes traditional Lao dances and K-Pop and J-Pop performances. A cosplay costume festival and a Cosplay Runway are held, along with booths featuring traditional to he miniature figurine molding, calligraphy, and miniature lion head making. A food court is serving dishes from different regions of Vietnam and different parts of the world.
