(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang’s state visit to Japan has successfully concluded, attracting huge international public attention. Germany’s newspaper “Neues Deutschland” on Thursday ran an article entitled “Vietnam – Japan has lift their external relationship to strategic partnership”. Other German newspapers also gave wide coverage to the visit, highlighting President Sang’s visit as part of efforts to lift the Vietnamese-Japanese relationship to a new height.
Commenting on President Sang’s Japan visit, Russian press stated that these were steps to consolidate and promote the fine results and play as foundations towards the bilateral ties between Vietnam and Japan, given their Joint Statement and a cooperation program on developing the bilateral strategic partnership.
For this occasion, the Thai magazine “Nation Weekend” ran an editorial entitled “Vietnam, Japan promote strategic partnership 2020” by regional expert Songrit Porgen. Porgen hailed Vietnam and Japan for lifting their relationship to a strategic partnership level in 2009, noting that the partnership had continuously developed in all fields over the past 5 years, especially in investment.
