Netanyahu said the only way for Israel and Palestine to achieve peace is direct negotiations between the two sides without any preconditions.

Under the French initiative proposed in January by former Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, in which France would hold a foreign ministers conference on May 30th attended by the Middle East Quartet (the US, Russia, the UN, and the EU), the Arab League, and 20 other countries, but without the participation of Israel and Palestine. That conference would prepare a second high level conference that would include Israel and Palestine.
