Japan, China prepare for Xi Jinping’s visit
(VOVWORLD) - Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi agreed on Wednesday to continue close cooperation planning Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Japan this spring despite the spread of the new coronavirus in China and Japan.
During a phone call, Motegi expressed appreciation for Beijing’s support in evacuating Japanese nationals from Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus outbreak.
Yi summarized Beijing's efforts to contain the outbreak and expressed gratitude for Japan's donation of medical supplies to China.
