(VOVworld) – Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Indonesian President Joko Widodo have agreed to bolster maritime cooperation amid tensions over the East Sea.

During talks on Sunday, Abe and Widodo pledged to strengthen maritime ties including the Indonesian navy’s patrols around Natuna Islands. They also discussed measures to deal with terrorism.
