(VOVworld) – Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Le Hong Anh hailed Kien Giang provincial economic development over past time, urging the province to fully tap its potentials. He made the remarks while working with the provincial authorities on Friday to review the provincial socioeconomic performance in the first half of this year as well as preparations for the province's upcoming 10^th Party Congress.


He suggested the province restructure the economy with a focus on the development of agriculture, industry, services, and tourism while accelerating poverty reduction and ensuring social order and security. He supported the province’s proposal to establish the island district of Tho Chu and asked the local authorities to complete necessary documents to submit to the central level.
