(VOV) - The Vietnam Defence Attaché Office in Laos coordinated with the Vietnamese embassy in Vientiane to organize an exchange night on Friday for generations of Lao military alumni in Vietnam. In his speech at the gathering, Vietnamese ambassador to Laos, Ta Minh Chau, praised the Lao army's contributions to preserving and fostering the special Vietnam-Laos relationship. Major General Kensi Manivong, Deputy Director of the General Politics Department of the Lao People’s Army, thanked Vietnamese Party, State, Government and army for standing should-to-shoulder with Lao soldiers and people in their struggle for national liberation, and for training many generations of military students who serve as a firm mainstay of the army.

During the exchange, former military students from Laos expressed their gratitude to the Vietnamese people and vowed to do their best to continue strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two Parties, States, armies and peoples.
