Lion, dragon, unicorn dance of HCM city's Chinese community recognized as heritage
(VOVWORLD) - The lion, dragon, and unicorn dance of Ho Chi Minh city's Chinese community has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage, according to a decision by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism on Sunday.

As a unique folk performance, the lion, dragon, and unicorn dance is deeply rooted in the cultural traditions of the Chinese community, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune. It is a familiar sight during festivals and major celebrations, carrying spiritual, artistic, and educational value.
Ho Chi Minh City has also had seven sites officially recognized as historical and cultural relics, bringing the total number of historical and cultural sites in the city to 200.
