Merit medal presented to Japanese Consul General in HCM city

(VOVworld) – The HCM city’s Union of Friendship Organizations has presented the merit medal for the cause of peace and friendship among nations to the Japanese Consul General.

Speaking at the awards ceremony on Friday, Hida Marumitsu said: “The friendship between Japan and Vietnam has developed remarkably in recent years. During my term in HCM city, I visited neighboring provinces and found out that people have become increasingly interested in Japan, contributing to the two countries’ mutual understanding. I love Vietnam and this is my second home. I will do my best to boost relations between the two countries.”
