Mongolia’s Presidents concludes Vietnam visit

(VOVworld) – Mongolia’s President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj left Ho Chi Minh city on Sunday, concluding his state visit to Vietnam from November 21 to 24 at the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang.

During the visit, President Elbegdorj held talks with President Sang and met with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung. The leaders agreed on measures to consolidate the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and coordination in regional and global issues of mutual concern. The two sides agreed to maintain the exchange of visits at all levels and increase cooperation in defense, security, economics, and trade. The two sides agreed to hold activities to mark the 60th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties on November 17th 2014. During the visit, President Elbegdorj and Vietnamese leaders witnessed the signing of 4 cooperative agreements in diplomacy, crime prevention, national defense, and oil and gas. He also attended the Vietnam-Mongolia Business Forum and visited a number of cultural and economic centers in Vietnam.
