(VOVworld) – The number of people quarantined amid fears of a MERS epidemic rose from 9 to 45 on Friday, according to a statement by Korea’s Ministry of Health.

The number of MERS infections and deaths stands at 186 and 36. Two of the 45 people under quarantine recently traveled to the Middle East. The rest are people who have had contact with them.
