(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, who is also Chair of the 41st ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA 41), called on the organization’s members this week to join hands in the COVID-19 fight.
In a letter, Ms. Ngan called on AIPA members to stand side by side, join hands with the governments of other ASEAN members, and adopt measures to contain the pandemic, facilitate resource distribution, and enhance public solidarity.
She said parliamentarians need to continue to spread a message of love, solidarity, and encouragement to all people, particularly those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
She said the National Assembly of Vietnam will spare no effort to bring about a successful year, a safe, peaceful environment in which to live, the well-being of all citizens, and sustainable development and prosperity for all ASEAN members.
