Dr. Kin Phea said the leadership and governance capacity of the Communist Party of Vietnam matters to both Cambodia and the region. A strong, resolute, and far-sighted Party is the driving force behind a stable Vietnam, and a stable Vietnam is an indispensable pillar for peace, cooperation, and prosperity in ASEAN and the international community, according to Dr. Kin Phea.

"The long-standing traditional relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Cambodian People's Party continues to play a crucial role as the most solid 'political anchor' for bilateral relations. As Vietnam intensifies its governance effectiveness and institutional power, it will have even greater potential as Cambodia's most reliable strategic partner, in terms of economics, trade, investment, connectivity, and border security."
