National tourism week opens in Thanh Hoa province
(VOVworld) - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched the national tourism week in Thanh Hoa province. Under theme “connecting world heritages”, the opening ceremony featured local dances and folk singing as well as a procession of Dong Son bronze drums. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam praised the initiative in promoting local culture and tourism:
“Local people are proud of their tradition in national defense and construction. This will add more to their will to build their home land of prosperity and cultural identities.”

The event aimed to promote unique tourism products to attract tourists and raise images of local heritages. The first boat trip along Ma River in Thanh Hoa province was launched on this occasion.
