Blinken, speaking at an event on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington, said a robust package for Ukraine will be unveiled over the next couple of days that will build a clear and strong bridge for Ukraine's NATO membership.

The same day, the White House said Belgium and Norway promised to provide more aircraft to Ukraine. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said he hopes the allies will reach a consensus on a large aid package for Ukraine, noting that the aid will serve as a bridge to Kyiv's NATO membership, but it’s too early to say when Ukraine will be admitted.

Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto called for a greater focus on the Southern Front and reform of the UN Security Council to make it more accountable and representative. He urged NATO to priorities the Mediterranean region, which has become a potential conflict zone due to rising tensions.
