(VOVworld) - Navy Zone 2 today received the TP400CP gunship, the second built by the Hong Ha Shipbuilding Company of the Ministry of National Defense to defend national waters.
A ceremony in Hai Phong was attended by Lieutenant General Tran Quang Khue of Navy Zone 2, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, and Senior Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Thuoc, Deputy Director of the Hong Ha Shipbuilding Company. Thuoc told attendees:"We applied the most advanced technology to complete the second gunship as soon as we could, with some parts re-designed to serve the ship’s fighting purpose. During the shipbuilding, all regulations of military ship management and the latest standards were strictly followed. So the trial time was shortened and all of the ship’s features met requirements in the very first test, which validated our building methods and the product’s quality."
The gunship’s completion, a practical achievement of the military shipbuilding sector and the Hong Ha Shipbuilding Company, comes just in time to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the 1945 August Revolution and Independence Day on September 2nd.
