Books, pop-up libraries, architecture and design, folk games, calligraphy, and craft experience activities are offering the public a multi-sensory journey of discovery into Vietnamese culture. During the three-day festival, visitors are invited to booths of coffee, tea, and Vietnamese folk cakes.
Guy Tran, a French overseas Vietnamese, joined the event with his wife and two children. “I am delighted to take part in the festival which my wife learned about it online. Our children cannot speak Vietnamese, so I want to bring them here to see and better understand culture and life in the past,” Tran said.
The Night Book and Culture Festival is seen as a meaningful addition to Ho Chi Minh City’s nighttime cultural offerings to meet higher demand for weekend recreation.
