No evidence Russia involved in Colonial Pipeline hack, says Biden

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the TASS news agency that "Russia has nothing to do with this."

Earlier, the FBI identified the group behind the attack on Colonial Pipeline as a criminal gang known as DarkSide, a hacker network that emerged last year using ransomware to extort money from victims.

The ransomware attack over the weekend forced the shutdown of the major US pipeline, which carries gasoline, diesel and jet fuel from the Gulf Coast northward along the East Coast to New York City.
