North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui said in a statement carried by the North’s official KCNA news agency that Pyongyang was willing to have comprehensive discussions with the US, at a time and place agreed between both sides, on the issues they have previously discussed.
On August 31, the US State Department announced that Washington is willing to negotiate with Pyongyang.
