Outstanding blood donors honored
(VOVWORLD) - 100 outstanding blood donors were honored at a ceremony in Hanoi on Saturday.

Addressing the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised blood donors and agencies and organizations nationwide for their contributions to blood donation campaigns.
"I hope that millions of blood donors across Vietnam will continue to uphold our fine traditions and spread their kindness to the wider community. Blood donation lights the hope of life."
Many blood donation drives have been organized in Vietnam such as Red Journey and Red Sunday. The volume of blood collected annually rose from 500,000 units in 2008 to 1.4 million units in 2022.
