The US hopes to reach a broad ceasefire within weeks, targeting a truce agreement by April 20, Bloomberg News reported on Sunday.
Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that talks between US and Ukrainian officials on a possible 30-day partial ceasefire had begun in Saudi Arabia.
Following talks with Ukraine, the US negotiators will meet with the Russian delegation in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Monday. It is not yet clear whether the Russian and Ukrainian delegations plan to meet in-person in Riyadh.
