The team finished the 2025 Asian Shooting Cup in fourth place overall, winning three gold, three silver, and five bronze medals in pistol events. Pham Quang Huy was Vietnam's most successful shooter, winning two gold, two silver, and one bronze medal.

The Asian Rifle/Pistol Cup 2025 was held in Thailand from February 9 to 22, featuring over 280 top marksmen from 23 countries and territories. Vietnam sent an 18-member squad to the competition.

The Vietnamese shooting team will compete in the Asian Championship in Kazakhstan in August, the World Championship in Egypt in November, and the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Thailand in December.
