This is the first time the Embassy hosted an online program with the participation of people from more than 30 destinations including Hanoi and different states across America.  More than 200 guests including Vietnamese American, overseas Vietnamese living and working in the states, and international friends of Vietnam joined in the event.

In his speech, Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc said Vietnam has successfully completed its 3 key tasks of coping with the COVID-19 epidemic, ensuring economic development, and protecting and supporting its citizens overseas, despite many challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. He hailed efforts made by the overseas Vietnamese community in the US in overcoming multiple difficulties and joining hands with the local communities to cope with the pandemic and contribute to the local socio-economic development. Ambassador Ngoc attributed achievements of Vietnam, especially those in its relations with the US, to the precious contributions of the overseas Vietnamese community in the US, as well as the support and cooperation of US and international friends of Vietnam.
