OVs businesses accompany Vietnam’s development
(VOVworld) – A seminar entitled “Overseas Vietnamese businesses and entrepreneurs accompany Vietnam’s development” took place in Hanoi on Sunday. Vu Hong Nam, Deputy Foreign Minister and Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, said Vietnam has put in place several favorable policies for overseas Vietnamese over the past years. He cited several revised Laws including the revised Law on Vietnamese Nationality which allows overseas Vietnamese to retain or re-register their Vietnamese citizenship, and the revised Land and Housing Law that allows overseas Vietnamese to buy and own houses and land

Vice President and Secretary General of the Overseas Vietnamese Business Association Bui Dinh Dinh highlighted the importance of setting up a website connecting Vietnamese businesses at home and abroad where they would be divided into groups based on their products and geographical positions, noting that this would improve their cooperation effectiveness.
