Party chief: Don’t let your guard down against Covid-19
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Friday stressed the need to remain vigilant and be prepared for all emergency situations as he chaired a Politburo meeting on Covid-19 prevention and control in Hanoi on Friday.

The Party leader urged the government to focus on directing and mobilizing resources to accelerate the purchase of vaccines and vaccination, prioritizing those on the frontlines, high-risk areas, and industrial zones. Efforts should be made to continue to support and promote research and development of vaccines in Vietnam, encourage socialization, and attract all resources through the National Vaccine Fund, while considering allowing eligible organizations and individuals to participate in the purchase and supply of vaccines against Covid-19, said Party General Secretary Trong.
Vietnam is dealing with the fourth wave of COVID-19 outbreaks that have spread on the largest scale and at the fastest pace ever. The country has to date recorded over 10,000 infections and 57 deaths.
