Party chief urges defense intelligence to meet higher requirements
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary To Lam emphasized on Saturday that the rapidly changing global and regional landscapes are placing greater demands on Vietnam’s defense intelligence sector.

Speaking at a ceremony organized by General Department II to mark the 80th Traditional Day of the defense intelligence service, Party leader To Lam, who is also Secretary of the Central Military Commission, urged the sector to continue fulfilling its role as the Party and State’s strategic intelligence agency.
He said the sector must focus on building a contingent of politically steadfast, competent personnel capable of meeting both immediate and long-term tasks.
