People’s health must be put first and foremost: PM
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Sunday demanded that the health sector put people’s life and health first and foremost while implementing their assigned missions.

Speaking at a virtual national conference, Mr. Chinh also asked for comprehensive development and improvement of both public and private health services to bring practical benefits to the people.
He said the health sector plays a crucial role in Vietnam’s sustainable development.
Acting Health Minister Dao Hong Lan said that the national health coverage increased from 81.7% in 2016 to 91.01% last year, surpassing the target of 80% set by the National Assembly in 2020.
Notably, Vietnam is among the countries with the highest COVID-19 vaccine coverage.
