The projects include new facilities for Viet Bac High School for Ethnic Minority Students in Thai Nguyen province, the Ho Chi Minh City University Preparatory School, and the Sam Son Ethnic Minority University Preparatory School in Thanh Hoa province. The initiative is part of national activities to mark the upcoming 14th National Party Congress.

The main ceremony was held at Viet Bac High School and linked online to the two other project sites in southern and central Vietnam.

All three developments are large-scale investments, with the Viet Bac High School project receiving the largest budget of more than 11 million US dollars.

Addressing the event, Prime Minister Chinh underscored the long-term importance of investing in education for disadvantaged communities.

“Investing in schools in mountain and ethnic minority areas is an investment in development,” he said. “Education here is not just about teaching children to read and write. It is the key to creating opportunities, building sustainable livelihoods, strengthening national unity, and ensuring social and political stability.”

He added that every child who is supported and educated in a safe and compassionate environment becomes “a responsible citizen for the country.”

The Prime Minister also urged relevant ministries and local authorities to swiftly resolve any obstacles during construction, calling on contractors and supervising units to push forward with “the highest level of determination” to ensure the projects are completed on time and deliver real benefits.
