Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chairs the 15th meeting of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation

Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister, who is Chairman of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council, said that despite numerous challenges, many outstanding collectives and individuals have been honored, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He stressed that the pandemic was an unprecedented global health crisis, and Vietnam overcame it thanks to the bravery and dedication of medical workers and armed forces personnel who risked their lives to enter the epicenters of the outbreak to protect public health and safety.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the need for careful selection of honorees for the titles “Hero of Labor” and “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces,” recognizing those with exceptional achievements in key national movements, including strategic infrastructure development; eliminating dilapidated housing; social welfare; sports and culture; disaster prevention and recovery; science and technology; innovation; and digital transformation.
