PM inspects expressway projects in central Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -During his working trip to central Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Monday inspected the progress of eastern North-South expressway projects in Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces.

Travelling by car, Prime Minister Chinh and the delegation presented gifts to encourage the construction forces of the component projects with a total length of more than 350 km. They include the sections Quang Ngai-Hoai Nhon, Hoai Nhon-Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon-Chi Thanh, Chi Thanh-Van Phong, and Van Phong-Nha Trang.

The 83 km Van Phong-Nha Trang section has been completed and put into operation since April 19, 2025. Of the 268 km remaining, over 214 km has been completed. Procedures are being finalized to put the projects into operation before March 10, 2026, and the remaining 54 km will be completed this month.

The Prime Minister requested the urgent completion of procedures to put the sections into operation, ensuring smooth, safe, and secure traffic flow. He also requested the acceleration of the construction of rest stops to ensure their simultaneous operation with the expressway projects.
