At the hybrid conference, Prime Minister Chinh said the Resolution adopted by the National Assembly on May 29 has set out breakthrough mechanisms and policies, such as establishing the National Housing Fund.

It expands the list of beneficiaries of social housing policy to enterprises, state agencies, socio-political organizations, and foreigners. The Resolution reforms administrative procedures which, according to the report of the Ministry of Construction, will take at least 350 days less.

The Prime Minister requested participants to work on tasks and solutions to swiftly implement the Resolution, without delay, and propose solutions with clarified stakeholders, workload, time frame, responsibility, authority, and results.

After listening to reports from ministries, sectors, and localities, Prime Minister Chinh stressed the need to reserve enough land in convenient locations to build affordable housing, which must have full facilities in terms of health, education, transportation, electricity, water, culture, sports, parks and entertainment.

The Prime Minister added that despite difficulties, the government has not changed its target of completing construction of one million social houses by 2030 and 100,000 houses this year.

“Review policies on access to capital, purchase and construction, and eliminate cumbersome administrative procedures, creating the most convenient conditions for people, businesses and related entities to benefit from social housing policy,” Prime Minister Chinh suggested.
