PM to attend ASEAN-US Special Summit in May
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will lead a delegation to the ASEAN-US Special Summit and pay a working visit to the US and the UN in May, said Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.

At a press conference in Hanoi on Thursday, Hang said the ASEAN-US Special Summit celebrating the 45th anniversary of bilateral dialogue relationship will be held in May 12th and 13th in Washington.
Since the two countries established their diplomatic ties 27 years ago, Vietnam and the US have taken long strides in mutual benefit and respected for each other’s independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political regime. Ms. Hang said on that foundation, Vietnam wants to cooperate with President Joe Biden’s administration to deepen ties and for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
