PM urges Tatarstan to set up Kamaz automobile plant in Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam values its traditional friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Russia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said at a meeting in Hanoi on Friday with R.N. Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.

Mr. Chinh proposed that Tatarstan consider establishing a Kamaz automobile manufacturing plant in Vietnam, highlighting the brand’s strong market presence. He also encouraged broader local-level cooperation, particularly in people-to-people exchanges.
Mr. Minnikhanov expressed interest in partnering with Vietnam in artificial intelligence, IT, automobile manufacturing, chemicals, and civil aviation. He also voiced hope for a direct flight route between Kazan and Hanoi.
