PM: Vietnam attaches importance to economic ties with Japan

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has called on Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation to pour more investment into Vietnam, especially in infrastructure, traffic, and energy sectors.

At a meeting with Mitsubishi President and CEO Takehiko Kakiuchi on Monday, Mr. Phuc said Vietnam always attaches importance to enhancing economic cooperation with Japan. The Vietnamese government is improving its institutions and policies to create better conditions for foreign investors to operate in Vietnam, including those from Japan, he added.

Mr. Kakiuchi praised Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements and hoped that the Vietnamese government will continue its support for Mitsubishi’s operations in Vietnam.
