During a phone talk with Australian PM Anthony Albanese, Mr. Chinh also called on the Australian Government to stop the anti-dumping investigation on some Vietnamese products, accelerate quarantine and customs clearance procedures, and encourage Australian businesses to invest more in Vietnam, especially renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, and telecommunications.

PM Albanese said Australia attaches importance to relations with Vietnam and supports ASEAN’s stance on the East Sea issue. He agreed on the need to settle disputes through peaceful means on the basis of international law including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
