(VOV) – The Party Central Committee’s Secretariat on Wednesday reviewed 1 year of implementing the Politburo’s Directive 03 on studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral example. The conference was attended by Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong and other senior officials.

Politburo member Le Hong Anh stressed the importance of the review, which helps each party member reflect on her or himself, strengthens the Party’s leadership and successfully fulfill the resolution of the National Party Congress. He said: To achieve good results, I urge for the collective wisdom and discussions to assess what has been done and learn lessons. You should show your determination to make the campaign to follow Ho Chi Minh’s moral example more efficient and closer to life”.

A report delivered by Dinh The Huynh, Head of Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, said the campaign has attracted Party’s concerns and is combined with the resolution of Party Central Committee on “urgent issues of party building in the current situation”. Positive results have been recorded, helping fight corruption, waste, and beaurocracy.

Meanwhile, an art performance was held on Tuesday in Hanoi to mark the 122nd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh and review one year of the implementation of the Politburo’s campaign on studying and following the moral example of Uncle Ho. Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, Nguyen The Ky announced a contest for written and other artistic works on the theme of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example. Ky said: "We call on artists, journalists and overseas Vietnamese to take part in the contest and promote literary, art and journalistic works about the campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s moral example".
