(VOVworld) - Vietnam’s new Ambassador to Germany Doan Xuan Hung has vowed to boost the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Germany.

Hung made the promise after presenting his credentials to Germany’s President Joachim Gauck on Tuesday, noting that closer ties will serve the two countries’ people. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State and people treasure Germany and consider it one of Vietnam’s most important partners.

President Joachim Gauck told Hung that he is delighted with the growing bilateral relations. He welcomed President Truong Tan Sang to visit Germany in the near future, and predicted the Vietnam-Germany relationship will reach a new height. President Gauck said he hopes Hung will make significant contributions to fostering ties between Germany and Vietnam.
