(VOVWORLD) - State President Luong Cuong on Monday presided over an official welcome ceremony for Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayaka, who is paying a 3-day state visit to Vietnam.

Following the ceremony, the two Presidents led their delegations in bilateral talks to review bilateral cooperation and discuss directions for future collaboration. They witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements and held a joint press briefing.
During his visit, the Sri Lankan leader will attend the celebration of UN Day of Vesak. With Vietnam and Sri Lanka celebrating 55 years of diplomatic relations, the visit is expected to enhance political trust and promote practical, effective cooperation between the two countries.
