(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang met with Tanzania’s Parliament speaker Job Ndugai on Thursday. He congratulated Ndugai on his election as Tanzania’s Parliament speaker and said he hopes Ndugai will contribute to boosting friendship and cooperation between the two countries. President Sang briefly talked about the results of his talks with President John Magufuli Gi, which focused on agriculture, telecommunications, and trade.

Ndugai said Tanzania considers Vietnam a close partner and wants to develop parliamentary cooperation with Vietnam, including an exchange of visits.

During a visit to the Vietnamese embassy in Tanzania, President Sang stressed the need to strengthen economic, social, and diplomatic links between Vietnam and East African nations and said the embassy should help Vietnamese businesses find new markets and focus more on cooperation in education, healthcare, and defense.
