(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of National Defense on Thursday handed over the President's Decision to 8 officers departing for UN missions in the Central African Republic, MINUSCA, and South Sudan, UNMISS.

Deputy Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, asked the officers to ensure absolute safety while performing tasks outside their areas amid the extremely complicated security situation, and to strictly abide by the Party's guidelines, the State's laws and military discipline, the UN regulations, and the host country’s laws.
He urged them to uphold the good qualities of the Vietnamese army and Uncle Ho's soldiers and spread the images of Vietnam and its friendly people to the locals.
