Putin denies cyberattacks on US

(VOVWORLD) - President Vladimir Putin dismissed accusations that Russia was behind cyberattacks against the United States as "farcical" and “unfounded” in an interview with NBC broadcast on Monday ahead of his summit with US President Joe Biden.

Mr. Putin said he expects his summit this Wednesday in Geneva with President Biden to help establish a dialogue between Russia and the US and to restore personal contacts, the Interfax news agency reported on Sunday.

The Kremlin confirmed the summit details and said in a statement that Putin and Biden will discuss strategic stability and ending regional conflicts and the Covid-19 pandemic.

This will be the first meeting between the two leaders since Biden took office in January.
