Russian forces carried out retaliatory missile attacks against multiple Ukrainian cities following an explosion on a bridge linking Crimea with Russia.

Putin accused Ukraine of carrying out a terrorist attack against the bridge aimed at destroying critical Russian civilian infrastructure.

In response to the attack, Putin said Russia carried out a massive strike with high-precision, long-range weapons, military command and communications facilities in Ukraine.

He said that if attempts to carry out terrorist attacks on Russia continue, the responses will be tough and will correspond in scale to the level of threat posed to Russia.
