Pyongyang says it has no plans for talks with Washington

(VOVWORLD) - The KCNA, North Korea’s state media, on Saturday quoted First Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui as saying that the US is mistaken if it thinks things like negotiations would still work on DPRK, adding that the North has already established a "detailed strategic timetable" for managing what she described as US threats.

Choe said Pyongyang doesn’t feel any need to sit face-to-face with Washington because Washington does not consider the DPRK-US dialogue as nothing more than a tool for grappling its political crisis.

Choe's statement came one day after US President Donald Trump's former national security adviser, John Bolton, told reporters that Trump might seek another summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as an "October surprise".

The statements of both sides were made when South Korean President Moon Jae-in said he will do the utmost to set up another meeting between Trump and Kim before the US election.
