(VOVWORLD) - The northern province of Quang Ninh attracted a strong influx of tourists during the 2026 New Year holiday.

As of Friday, the province welcomed approximately 530,000 visitors, including 44,400 international arrivals.
Nguyen Lam Nguyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said this positive signal at the very beginning of the year provides strong momentum to achieve the goal of receiving 22 million visitors this year.
“In 2026, Quang Ninh is determined to fulfill all of its tourism development targets. The province is focusing on creating new and more distinctive tourism products to attract more domestic and international visitors,” said Nguyen.
During the holiday, major attractions recorded large numbers of visitors, including Ha Long Bay, Sun World Ha Long Park, the Quang Ninh Museum, and the Yen Tu historical and scenic complex.
