Former President Donald Trump has arrived in Milwaukee for the Convention a day after he was targeted in a attempted assassination at a campaign event.

The Republican National Convention will take place in four days, involving tens of thousands of party members. Party congress, usually held every four years, aims to rally the most important forces before elections.

The Republicans will nominate a vice presidential candidate on Wednesday and a presidential candidate on Thursday, the last day of the Convention.

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said on Sunday that agents were investigating the Trump shooting as a possible domestic terrorism attack and assassination attempt. Investigators said they believe shooter acted alone before he was fatally shot by Secret Service agents.
