(VOVworld) - The Republic of Korea (RoK) has asked the ambassadors of ASEAN countries to help its financial groups boost their investment in ASEAN.

The request was made at a meeting in Seoul on Monday attended by the chairmen of the Financial Services Commission (FSC), the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), and 11 Korean banks, and the ASEAN ambassadors.
FSC chairman Im Chong-ryong said Korean banks have increasingly provided financial support to domestic enterprises operating in ASEAN countries in the 25 years since the establishment of the RoK-ASEAN partnership.

Singapore’s Ambassador Yip Wei Kiat called the meeting an opportunity to strengthen mutual understanding and vowed to support financial cooperation between the two sides.
