Russia proposes deployment of military police on Syrian-Turkish border
(VOVWORLD) - The Russian military police can be deployed in the buffer zone currently being created on the border between Syria and Turkey, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Sunday.

Lavrov told the Vietnamese media that he envisages a cooperation agreement that eradicates the terrorist threat on the border and lets Turkey carry out operations in certain border areas on Syrian territory. The format of the buffer zone is still being coordinated, but the deal does not encompass joint military operations, said Lavrov.
