(VOVWORLD) - Russia is ready to cooperate with the European Union on cyber security, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Monday.
President Vladimir Putin previously initiated international cooperation on information security although the idea got no support back then, said Peskov.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the EU should discuss directly with Moscow cyber attacks, disarmament, and the situation in Belarus and Ukraine. Merkel mentioned the idea of resuming EU summits with Russia, an idea similar to that of French President Emmanuel Macron, which has been rejected by other EU leaders.
